A few helpful answers.
Is this name tracing generator really free?
Yes. The three layouts, class-list workflow, PDF and PNG downloads are free. There is no account, payment step, watermark over the practice area or email requirement. A small site credit appears in the footer of each worksheet.
Can I make worksheets for a whole class?
Yes. Choose Class list, enter one name per line, and export up to 40 worksheets in one PDF. Repeated names stay in the list. Preview each page before printing. You can also import a plain text list or save a private project file to reuse later.
Will the worksheet keep accents and long names?
Common European accents and several additional Latin letters are supported by our manuscript drawing set. Names are never silently shortened. Long names scale down to fit, with a notice. A name that would print too small, or contains an unsupported character, stops export with a clear message. See the letter-style guide for the exact boundaries.
Are the letters a school-specific handwriting font?
No. This is an original, single-line manuscript drawing style with single-storey a and g. It is not cursive and is not endorsed by a school or handwriting programme. Compare the letter-style specimen with the style you want to practice.
Are names uploaded or saved automatically?
No. The editor creates the preview and downloads inside your browser. It does not upload names or automatically save a list. A project file contains names only when you explicitly download it. Your host still handles ordinary web connection data; see the privacy page.
What should I use for printing: PDF or PNG?
Use PDF for consistent paper size and crisp vector lettering. Choose A4 or US Letter, print at Actual size / 100%, and switch off browser headers and footers. PNG is a high-resolution image of the currently selected page, useful for inserting into another document.
Can I use this with any age or writing system?
An adult should choose whether the material and letter style suit their learner. This tool prepares practice sheets; it does not assess readiness, provide therapy or guarantee an outcome. The current letter set covers Latin-script names, not every writing system.
One small page. All their own.
Make a name worksheet without an account or an upload.
