A simple manuscript
drawing style.
Every name is drawn from original single-line paths. Dotted tracing follows those paths instead of tracing both sides of a filled font. The editor, PDF, PNG and print view share that same name geometry.
A style to check, not a teaching prescription
The set uses single-storey a and g, an undotted capital I with top and bottom bars, and a simple manuscript form. It is not cursive, joined writing, a tracing-order guide or an approved school handwriting programme. There are no stroke-order arrows. An adult should compare these letter shapes with the style their learner is using.
Supported names and accents
The base alphabet is A–Z and a–z, with digits, spaces, periods, apostrophes and hyphens. Common composed and decomposed European accents are drawn: acute, grave, circumflex, diaeresis, tilde, macron, breve, dot, ring, caron, double acute, cedilla and ogonek. The set also includes æ, œ, ø, ł, ß, þ, ð and their supported capitals, plus dotless ı. Up to two supported combining accents can appear on a letter.
Examples to preview include José, Zoë, Chloé, João, Łukasz, O’Neill and Alexandra-Rose. Check your actual name in the preview; this is not a claim to cover every Latin-script name or linguistic convention.
Unsupported characters never disappear silently
Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic and other scripts are not implemented in this release. Emoji and unsupported combining marks stop export with an explanation. The editor also checks the length and print size. It does not replace a name with an approximation or remove accents to make the export succeed.
Capitalization is your choice
“As typed” preserves your choice. UPPERCASE and lowercase use the browser's standard Unicode case conversion, not locale-specific name rules. Review changes carefully: for example, uppercasing ß can produce SS. Use As typed when a specific language convention matters.
Guide lines and sizes
Guide lines show a capital-height line, a dashed x-height line and a baseline. Letters with descenders extend beneath the baseline. Larger nominal lettering may adapt when more rows or a longer name need to fit. This is indicated in the preview, not hidden.
Accessibility and reuse
The editor has labelled controls and keyboard access. Names in exported PDFs are vector drawings, not selectable or tagged text. These worksheets are visual practice materials, not screen-reader-ready documents. No font file is required or supplied. You may use the generated sheets for your own home or classroom under the site terms.
