Print it the way
you previewed it.
The PDF is the recommended print format. It keeps the paper dimensions and draws names as vectors, so there is no tracing font to install on the printer or computer.
Choose the paper before exporting
Choose US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) for Letter paper, or A4 (210 × 297 mm) for A4 paper. The worksheet has internal margins; you do not need borderless printing. Use the same size in the print dialog.
Print a PDF at actual size
- Download the PDF and open it in a PDF viewer.
- Choose the matching paper size and portrait orientation.
- Select Actual size or 100%. A “Fit” setting may change letter sizes.
- For browser printing, switch off headers and footers. The editor's Print button supplies its own page layout.
- Print a single page first. Check the margins, dots and any accents before making a class set.
On a phone or tablet
A download may open a preview rather than silently save a file. After exporting, use the “Open it if it did not save” link under the download buttons. Use your browser's Share or Save to Files action to keep the PDF, then open it in an app that supports your printer. The editor does not send files to a printing service.
When to choose PNG
PNG exports only the page currently visible in the preview, not the entire class set. It is a high-resolution image: 2550 × 3300 pixels for US Letter, or approximately 2480 × 3508 for A4. Image software may interpret its physical size differently. Use PDF when paper size matters.
A name is smaller than expected
The entire name stays on a line. Long names or extra rows can reduce the lettering size, and the editor displays a notice when this happens. Try compact letter spacing, fewer practice rows or a shorter part of a full name. The tool blocks names that would be too small rather than silently cutting them off.
Letters, dots or accents look different
Names are drawn with our own vector manuscript strokes. Changing computer fonts cannot change them. Check the letter-style specimen first. Use Dotted for single-line dots, Light gray for continuous pale strokes, or Solid for darker models. If a low-ink printer drops light strokes, use Dotted or Solid and a normal-quality print setting.
A PDF or blank page will not open
Wait for the file-ready message and use the fallback link. Retry after reducing a class list. The limit is 40 names per export. If the browser blocks downloads, allow a file download for this site or try the Print button. Describe the browser and paper settings when you contact support; do not send a real child's name or a private class list.
